📚 eSIM Basics
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical nano-SIM. It's built right into your phone's hardware.
Is my device compatible?
Most modern smartphones support eSIM (iPhone XR/XS and newer, Samsung S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer). Note: Most iPhones manufactured for China Mainland do not support eSIM. Please check your device settings before purchasing.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes! Dual SIM technology allows you to keep your physical SIM card for calls and SMS, while using the eSIM for data. You can have both active at the same time.
⚙️ Installation & Activation
When should I install my eSIM?
We recommend installing your eSIM before your trip while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. Once installed, you can keep it turned off or just leave 'Data Roaming' off until you arrive at your destination.
How do I install the eSIM?
After purchase, you will receive a QR code via email. Go to your phone settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM, and scan the QR code. Detailed instructions are provided in the confirmation email.
